About Katherine
Katherine Kawa has a strong belief in the power of words to shape who we are and a passion for stories of all kinds.
In her more than 15 years in the children's and young adult educational publishing industry, she has worked her way up from an Editorial Assistant position straight out of college to Editorial Director in less than 10 years. Currently, she is employed as the Publisher of the Rosen Publishing Group.
Katherine manages a team of editors and freelance writers, and she also writes educational books for the school and library market using her nickname, Katie.
In addition to her strong leadership skills and writing and editing work, she has experience in brand development, content strategy, creating marketing copy, analyzing market trends, and delivering engaging product presentations to internal sales teams and prospective customers.
She has many special interests, including pop culture and fandom, travel, mental health, beauty and fashion, dance, and sports. She considers herself an avid fangirl and proud nerd.
